Joseph Ollman has been fascinated with film for as long as he can remember. His film-making is derived from a place of story-telling as he believes that one can find a narrative in almost anything. He understands the power of filmmaking, as a tool of communication in which social boundaries and barriers can become unlocked. He favours working with real people and using real locations, often street-casting and working within youth culture.
He’s written and directed three successful short films, having won several awards, been nominated for Best Director at BFI Future Shorts, had praise from Academy-Award winner, Danny Boyle and been screened at BAFTA and Academy Award qualifying festivals around the world, as well as recently Directing a film for BBC.
He now wishes to carry on expanding his craft, using his unique approach and style for music videos and commercials, as well as continuing in fiction film.
