Miranda Bowen is a renowned director and writer who has captivated audiences and earned critical acclaim throughout her career. Through her unique storytelling style she often explores the unseen and unacknowledged, allowing her to bring characters to life with authenticity and depth. Miranda has a great eye for composing a shot to perfection and is brilliant with artists, whether trained actors, celebrities, kids or ‘real people’. She has worked with numerous high-profile stars and actors including Jodie Comer, Sandra Oh, Jessie Buckley, Rory Kinnear, Rosamund Pike, Ophelia Lovibond and Girls Aloud
Alongside a prolific career directing commercials she is best known for her drama work including Killing Eve (HBO/BBC), Women in Love (BBC) The Last Post (BBC) and Gozo, her debut feature film, which won best UK film at the Raindance Film Festival.
To date Miranda has directed commercials for notable brands that include Sainsbury’s, HSBC, Lenor, Persil, Weight Watchers, Kit Kat/Nestle, Danone, Lindt and Ferrero Rocher.
She is currently in pre-production on ‘Vamp’, a dark, menopausal vampire feature film for the BFI and BBC Films. On top of this Miranda has also published several short stories.
