Rob Soucy’s unique sense of humour has naturally led him to direct many laugh-out-loud comedy commercials. After just a few moments in his presence, you’ll walk away feeling energised by his passion for filmmaking. Unsurprisingly Rob’s career emerged via a less conventional route than most. At 16 years old, he dropped out of school to perform professionally in punk rock bands. During his music career, he released several albums, toured the world, directed music videos for Grammy-nominated artists like Blink-182, and was even a roadie for Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson.
His strong visual storytelling skills and ability to capture stand-out comedy performances has seen him direct spots for brands including Bud Light, KFC, Spotify, Ikea, Southern Comfort, Verizon and Muller. He has also directed a film for the much coveted NFL Super Bowl spot. His work has been awarded at Cannes Lions, The Addy’s and The Webby Awards.
Rob is bi-lingual, certified to drive a forklift, an ordained minister, and a guest lecturer at “The School of Visual Arts” in NYC.
